Layers
Layers account and data deletion
For Layers: A Boxy Journey from ManTalksMedia, current Android closed-test version (0.9.0). This version has no Layers account, so this page explains how to remove gameplay data from your device.
No Layers account in this version
The current closed-testing version of Layers: A Boxy Journey is guest-only. It does not let you create or sign in to a Layers account, and it does not provide cloud progress backups. There is no Layers account or Layers-hosted backup to request deletion of in this version.
Remove gameplay data from your device
Your progress, settings, streaks and achievements are saved in the app's local storage. To remove this data on your Android device, you can generally:
- Open Android Settings, then Apps, then Layers.
- Open Storage or Storage & cache (wording varies by device).
- Select Clear storage or Clear data, and confirm.
Uninstalling and device-to-device copies
You can also uninstall Layers. Clearing storage or uninstalling normally removes the app's data from that device and may permanently erase your progress.
The inspected Android build disables cloud Auto Backup. However, some Android 12+ devices may transfer app data directly between devices. If you used device-to-device migration, check any other device that may have a copy of your game data. Deleting data on one device does not necessarily delete those other copies.
What support can and cannot delete
Because the current game has no Layers account or game-operated cloud backup, support cannot remotely erase progress stored only on your device.
If you previously contacted us by email, you can request that we review or delete the personal information contained in your support correspondence, subject to applicable legal and operational requirements. Please contact us and describe the request. Do not share passwords or sign-in codes.

Future account features
Optional sign-in and cloud backup may be introduced in a later release. They are not available in this closed test. Before account creation becomes available, this page will be updated with operational instructions for requesting account and associated cloud-data deletion, including an in-app option and an external request method where required.
